I want to start out this note by saying our new website will be evolving in the coming weeks. We hope that you like the changes and get engaged in the site. We want to hear from you and are truly interested in hearing what YOU think.
A few weeks ago our booking agent and friend Walt English passed away. I will keep the details to myself, but suffice it to say we were all surprised by the news and are certainly keeping his family in our prayers. We had just signed an exclusive contract with Walt and The Summit Entertainment to work with him nationally. This is both a professional and a personal curve ball and very disappointing on many levels. Walt was a really nice man and had a lot of positive energy about him. He was and will always be an important part of many bands history including ours. He gave us a few great highlights, our best probably being the House of Blues – Cleveland show. Always an optimist, he was always looking forward towards our next shows oversees, in other countries, and in various clubs and events all over the place. It was always lofty talk and just speaking of possibilities.
Walt, you will be missed and we hope and pray that we made an impact on you. You certainly did on me and the rest of the band. I remember when we FIRST started working with you, you had told me that the Ockham’s Razor cd “Lucid” was in your cd player and that you listened to it all of the time. That comment always stuck with me and made me feel like maybe we did make an impact on you. It is a great memory for me like so many of our conversations. They were always very “what’s next” in origin. I loved that. Thank you Walt, I hope that your “what’s next” moments are full of joy and rest.
Stay tuned, we have some things in the works and look forward to seeing where 2010 takes us.
